heylambsMy little London and I are so excited to share a little surprise today! Baby Davidson number two… AND baby number three are on their way. We couldn’t be anymore excited. We feel so blessed to be growing our little family and I am beyond thrilled that in less than a year,  London will have two new besties to call her own. Yeah, you calculated that right… I am going to have three little ones under two years old and I couldn’t be happier! These two new babies were a HUGE surprise! Nick is a twin and we have always dreamt of having twins of our own so you could only imagine the looks on our faces when my doctor performed the ultrasound and said, “Oh my goodness! I hope you have a big house because there’s Baby A and there’s Baby B!”

Well, my darling hubby has many super powers and knowing when I am pregnant is one of them. Apparently I fall asleep at 8 pm every night whenever I have a bambino cooking so Nick knew right away that something was up. It was the Friday of our  Chicago weekend getaway when Nick insisted that I take a pregnancy test.  I couldn’t believe it when I got a big fat positive.

Nonetheless, that was the start of an epic weekend! That drive to Chicago felt like the shortest car ride ever as we talked about our new home and new baby and tried picking out both boy and girl names since we enjoy keeping the gender a surprise. I also joked with Nick that I did my part and now it was his turn to deliver so he definitely needed to win his poker tournament this weekend. Well, my amazing Nick went on to use another one of his super powers, play AMAZING poker and beat out 505 opponents to bring home a Heartland Poker Tour bracelet and nearly $170,000! London and I couldn’t be more proud of him. Nick has been so devoted to his poker game and his hard work has paid off. We celebrated with a seafood tower at Giuliana Rancic’s RPM Steak in downtown Chicago, followed by a trip to the CHANEL boutique on Michigan Avenue and then had a phenomenal little drive home. It was one of the most epic weekends of our lives and I know that this is just the beginning. I feel like I say this all the time, but our best days are ahead of us, my darling.

I went to my doctor the next day where they confirmed my pregnancy with a beta blood test. It was funny because when the nurse called she said my hormone levels were outrageous… I responded, “Like it could be twins?”

I went in two weeks later for an ultrasound to hear the heartbeat and to our surprise, there were two beautiful little hearts beating in mummy’s belly. We cried and I am pretty sure London thought we were both nuts. She gave us a look like, “Compose yourself, Mumma and Dada!” She’s our proper and polite little thing.

Our pregnancy announcement was too cute and fun! We wanted to record a surprise video for our readers and followers and then had our friends and family over for dessert so we could tell them the exciting news. London had a look of pure joy on her face when she saw the adorable and delicious donut lollipops from Promise Pretzels- she refused to put them down. I am so happy that Marcella caught her excitement on video when daddy popped her huge confetti balloon in the video and used our “Twin” cupcake toppers from Confetti and Bows for the surprise ending. The huge balloons with gorgeous tassel tails from Love Garlands were the perfect, girly touch for our little scene.Their handmade party decor can be customized to any colors for all of your special events. The mini BABY balloons and confetti from The Pink Poppy Party Shoppe added the perfect finishing touches for our video and photos.

The scene was a delectable dream with the most scrumptious little confections. The balloon, lamb and donut sugar cookies from Crumble Catering Company were super light, ever so crispy around the edges, glistening with sugar crystals, and packed with a sweet vanilla flavor like sugar cookies should be.

Our sprinkle donuts from Samantha’s Sweets and Treats were perfect for our “Donut Ever Stop Believing in the Magic” theme. They were hot, fresh, slightly sweet and oh so delicious! The donuts were the perfect backdrop against our custom banner made by The Grey Dot Company. I can’t wait to put the banner up in the twins nursery in our new home- It is going to look darling!

We are so grateful for all of the lovely and sweet congratulatory wishes from all of our followers and readers. Thank you so much for sharing this joyful time with us! Now that the secret’s out, let the fun begin!

  1. So exciting! I love the little silver top. Enjoy her wearing what you put on her because that changes, lol. I loved dressing up my girls.

    • LOL London sure loves to play dress up and I can’t imagine it ever changing. I will dress her up and say, “You look so pretty! Go show daddy!” LOL and she runs over to him just beaming. It is the sweetest! Xx
