Every visit to Chicago is more magical than the last and this past weekend was no exception. We decided to stay at The Peninsula Chicago for London’s third birthday weekend celebration because every stay there leaves a lasting impression. The staff have a way of making you feel like everyday is your birthday- the attention to detail and the way they treat every person that walks through those front revolving doors always makes you feel special.
- Location, Location, Location
The Peninsula Chicago is located in the heart of downtown and is only blocks away from some of Chicago’s most famous attractions including The Magnificent Mile, the Chicago Water Tower, Millenium Park and The Art Institute of Chicago.
- Gorgeous Rooms and Views
The rooms are not only stunning and make you feel at home, but they have bath robes for everyone in your family including miniature ones for your little lambs with matching slippers. Not to mention, the window views of the city are incredible and are a constant reminder that you are in one of the most magical cities of all.
- Delightful Food
Whenever we stay at The Peninsula we are always so tired from traveling that we barely ever leave the beautiful property. The Lobby has always been our favorite restaurant but the recently opened Z Bar is absolutely phenomenal. The Z Bar is one of Chicago’s newest rooftop bars and features some of the most iconic views of the city. The gorgeous new venue is perfect for a night of modern American dining, good laughs and great conversation. This high-end hot spot is definitely making its mark on the Chitown dining scene, bringing with it magnificent, cutting-edge cooking inspired by a variety of cultures, and paired with a superb wine and cocktail list that’s inventive enough to satisfy even the most sophisticated of palates. The Z Bar has recently been noted as an up and coming Chicago place to dine that serves up rich entrees uniquely presented with a delicious twist of textures, temperatures and flavors.
- Modern Amenities
The Peninsua’s modern amenities feature floor-to-ceiling windows with the most stunning views over Chicago’s breathtaking skyline. Whether you are staying fit in the fitness center, enjoying the half-olympic size swimming pool, or treating yourself at the spa- The Peninsula Chicago offers an experience unlike anywhere else. You are sure to leave feeling on top of the world.
- Family Friendly
My favorite thing about The Peninsula is how family friendly it is. The little ones are greeted with the cutest little “Peter Bears” as soon as they check in and are surprised with the Camp Peninsula set up in the room which makes for the most magical adventures and lets their imaginations run wild. You could even make arrangements for Peter the Bear to come up to your room to visit the children with a ton of treats for everyone to enjoy; this was London’s favorite part about our stay and honestly, it was mine too.
