I’m so excited that we are finally all moved in and enjoying our new home. It still feels like we have so much to do but the kitchen is almost done and I am enjoying all of the baking and family dinners with my loves. I have been getting so many messages asking about my kitchen details so I decided to do a little reveal as we celebrated one year of blogging! I baked some cupcakes and we took our first photos as a family since the twins were born. I can’t believe they are almost four months old. Time flies! The kitchen is definitely my favorite room in the house and I am obsessing over how fresh it feels in here with the beautiful blooms that I am always picking up from my favorite local florist, Design Works in downtown Rochester.
I had a vision for an all white kitchen with gold accents when we started building two years ago. I knew I wanted white and gray countertops but marble isn’t durable at all so I decided to go with a porcelain countertop that looks like Statuario marble. My backsplash is an Asian Statuario marble subway tile. The lights are by Visual Comfort and my cabinet pulls are from Amazon. I picked an antique brass for all of my fixtures, got my fridge paneled to match the cabinets and voila! My range is by Capital and my favorite teapot is Mackenzie Child’s. I love that it is gold and white and matches my decor perfectly.
So I still haven’t decided how I am going to decorate the floating shelves… Do you have any #shelfie ideas? If so, I’d love to hear about them in the comments below!
